You vs. your work

This ”matrix” shows the relation between your interests and what your job requires of you.

The relevant influence of each cluster needs to be academically measured but initially one could suggest your day consists of 1/3 of the actual work you was hired for.

1/3 is divided between skills you posses but don’t need, new skills you learn to support your actual work, and of in depth specialization in your own profession.

The last 1/3 of the five remaining clusters are divided between your interest and employers interests and how tightly the private and professional networks merges and collaborate

X-modell of employee engagement gives a narrow picture why this matrix i developes furhter the enviromental forces directly affectin ones daily work at ”dropp model of employee engagement”.

Even if you are a factory worker supposed to do one single thing 8h day. It is impossible to constinuously cntribute with actual work. Many time different batches are shifted and new material needs to be mounted in order to be able to continue on (suporting activities for your work). Some organisations organise coworkers to keep the flow of material going on.
